Council Grove Christian Church

Operation Christmas Child is a year-round mission. Melinda and Callahan McIver took over this mission for Council Grove Christian Church in 2013. The church collects items for the shoe boxes all year. In the fall Melinda hosts a packing party/lunch fundraiser to fill the boxes and raise money to cover the shipping costs. These shoe boxes are sent to places where the kids are in need of items for school, play, cold weather, hot weather and more. In November Melinda and/or Callahan take some of the students (13years old and up) to the processing center in Dallas, TX to assist in preparing the packages to be shipped.
